Butterfly and Moth House. Part of the Wicken Fen National Trust Range
This unique butterfly and moth house is both an overwintering habitat and a feeding station. The door folds down to allow feeding and can folded back up to provide cosy over wintering space which can be filled with bark, twigs or other natural materials.
Site 1 – 2 metres high in a sheltered warm position near attracting plants.
With the door open there are two small feed cups that can be filled with sugar water. The feeder is most effective in early summer and autumn when natural food of pollen and nectar are scarce.
