Toads
In Britain, there are two species of toad, the widespread but declining Common Toad and the much rarer Natterjack Toad. Neither species is found in Ireland.
Toads are beneficial garden predators and can live for up to forty years! They are mostly nocturnal, foraging at night when many prey items have emerged during this cooler and sometimes damper period.
