Wildlife World produces two products that offer a safe refuge for frogs and toads
CF/TH Frogitat - The Wildlife World 'Frogitat' provides an attractive and safe retreat for frogs and toads in any garden. Made in ceramic, the Frogitat provides a naturally cool, safe space with an 'overwintering' shelf at the rear and an open front area as a cool 'summer retreat'. Naturally attractive with an earthy green, mottled and part glazed finish, the Frogitat is both functional and a pretty addition to the garden environment.
Siting: Position the Frogitat in a quiet area which should be cool, shaded and near a pond or damp area.
F/TH Frog/Toad House - The Frog/Toad House provides a safe retreat and habitat for frogs and toads. Constructed from naturally durable larch/cedar/oak and hazel, it is dual chambered and features an integral reclaimed roof tile which forms the top of one chamber which is open to the soil and provides a cool sanctuary for toads. The other chamber has a timber floor and separate access door and provides drier accomodation. The house may provide an over wintering place for frogs as well as a safe retreat. The Frog/Toad House is important in providing safe space near a pond away from domestic dogs and cats. There are also many predators for frogs, so the home can help survival rates.
Siting: Position the house in a quiet area which should be cool and shaded near a pond or water, if possible.
